What can you do about that?
The truth is that we are constantly bombarded by news on every aspect of our lives. There are so many brands and products to choose from that it is realistically impossible to make a rational decision when choosing one. Add to that that there are also countless drinks and foods to try and places to see. It gets overwhelming!
And then you have to pick what to wear, when and where. The cherry to top them all! Since we all want to look our best this can get pretty challenging. Let’s not forget that the way we look communicates a whole lot about us as a personality. Although this deserves a whole post of its own, it suffices to say that looking put together should be on the top of your priorities.
If you are like me getting dressed in the morning can become a chore. Big enough to make you stay in your pyjamas all day long. But it doesn’t have to be! This is where having an outfit formula saves your day. And your sanity!
So this year when the time is at a premium, I make it easy on myself to get dressed in the morning and follow the below formula to get dressed:
Shorts + Blouse + Belt + Sandals or Sneakers
Shorts are a staple in the summer when the temperatures are daily way above 32 C. It is just too hot for me to wear long pants and work or run after my little one.
Blouse A top with little details that fits properly elevates your look. In an instant, you look like you actually put some effort into your look and lifts your spirits.
Sandals or Sneakers We have a no shoe policy in our house so when I do wear shoes it means that I am on the run. Comfort is very important to me because I suffer from multiple injuries. I usually chose sandals that offer some support while keeping my feet cool in the summer heat. Sneakers are a must when I go to the park; where I usually climb along my little man and run around to catch him.
Some mornings, if I have a moment to spare, I usually add a pair of stud earrings, a light neckless and a bracelet. A backpack completes my look and leaves my hands free so I can wrangle my toddler!
Sometimes I take my clothes out of my closet the night before and hang them in the bathroom. This way I am eliminating any last minute destructions and I am less prone to change my mind about my outfit.
What do you do to make your morning routine go smoother? Tell me all your tricks so I can copy them all!
