Over the last 5 years that I have been sewing I always heard people say that they are afraid to do something, sew with knits, use a serger, sew a pair of jeans, a coat, pants, velvet, buttonholes you name it!
Mending has never been part of my sewing vocabulary. Or my everyday life for that matter.
Not because I hate to do it, I don’t, but somehow my clothes divided into two categories: Wearable and Not. The later was either cloths in good condition that didn’t fit size-wise or ready to fall apart.
Winter has officially arrived. And guess what!? It’s cold outside. Like I actually had to wear a real coat! A coat!!! And a scarf, because did I say it’s cold outside? I am writing this all wrapped up in a blanket while sitting at my desk. Maybe I should wear a duvet tomorrow? Would that look weird to you?
Being in your mid-thirties comes with a lot of privileges. Being surrounded by babies is one of them. I think that in the last 5 years we welcomed more than two babies per year! And despite the fact I am far from a seasoned mom I have done my fair share of newborn shopping.
