Today I would like to take you with me to the fabric district. This is where I do almost all of my fabric shopping. As you can see on the map it is located in the center of the city. An area called “The Retail Triangle”.
I would like to note that there were many more shops in this area that closed during the ‘90s. Or at least this is what I have been told. If you know otherwise please share! I love listening to stories. In the 5 years that I saw I always love to come here and look at all the gorgeous fabrics.
Some sell more high end or specialty fabrics, like the one above. The name is “Seta Era”. The owner is a real gentleman. I highly recommend.
For more affordable options and a wider variety of products and prices, these two are my number one. The first one also runs an online store which I also frequent.
These are just the ones that I usually shop from. There are many more shops in the district. Some have warehouse prices and everyday wear fabrics, some sell bridal fabrics and some occasionwear fabrics, like the one in the below picture named Tailored.
I have never left here without finding what I was looking for. On the contrary, I always buy way more! I am trying to be mindful about my purchases and only buy exactly what I need but up until now this has proven to be impossible. Time will tell…
Where do you shop your fabrics from? Any recommendations?
